Bev & Queenie Short Mysteries

Bev and Queenie are two characters I created who will appear in a future series, Ghosts & Gumshoes (Two ghosts, enemies in life, are stuck together in the afterlife and team up with a very-much-alive medium to solve crimes.) In Ghosts & Gumshoe Beverly Malone and Queenie Claymore are the ghosts. Bev's cousin's daughter, 40-year-old and newly unemployed Tish Malone, is the Gumshoe. When it came time to write a prequel story to give away to my newsletter subscribers, naturally the story I wrote was when they were both alive.

Here's the thing. I loved writing those two characters so much that I thought, "Hey, why stop with one prequel story, why not write a prequel series." And thus, Bev & Queenie Mysteries was born.

Beverly lives in a gated, active senior housing community and works as head librarian at Brittle Bush Library, located in Brittle Bush, Arizona, one town over from where she lives. It's here that she contends with her nemesis, Queenie.
